PLEASE NOTE: Due to the changing laws and demands of operating a "small" business in California, we no longer feel we can continue to keep Oxton Kennels open and operating in a fashion that we feel provides the services our customers have grown accustomed to. The current employment climate in California has made our ability to secure both full and part-time kennel help next to impossible while the overhead costs of providing the animals what they need increased due to vendors attempting to recover their losses from COVID19. Meeting the many demands of both the state and the increased overhead costs would have required charging our customers prices that we do not feel are reasonable or that we would feel comfortable charging therefore we will unfortunately be forced to closed this business as of August 31st, 2021. We will be open and providing our normal pet boarding services until then. We are truly saddened by this event as Oxton Kennels has been in business since the 60's in Salinas, evolving several times to meet the challenging demands and expectations of the pet boarding industry. We are currently seeking anyone interested in possibly purchasing this business in the hope of keeping this historical business available to the Monterey county communities. Kennel hours are 8am to 6pm, 7 days a week. We are closed on Easter, Thanks Giving, and Christmas. We often close early or have special check-in procedures the day before a holiday therefore we reccomend you call ahead to make sure. |

Vaccination Requirements: Dogs: Bortadella every 6 mo. (even if your vet gave a 1 year vaccine) / DHLP 1-3 year Rabies every 1-3 years ALL vaccines must be given 48 hours before dog arrives or they will not be accepted. Visiting hours for standard kennels are between 12PM and 3PM daily. Visiting hours for suites are between 10am and 5PM daily. Reservations are required for suites at all times ~ all year. Grooming fees based upon size, breed and condition of pet and determined by staff at time of check in. |
